About Me

I feel very lucky to do the kind of work that I do! I find my clients and their life stories so interesting. I am an excellent listener and I enjoy seeing my clients experience positive results. Successful psychotherapy and hypnosis are always collaborations between client and practitioner. In my experience and understanding, each of us has within us the wisdom and guidance that we need to heal and grow. A big part of my job is to help each person access that inner wisdom and guidance and to learn skills and tools to take forward into life after therapy is over.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client, whether that is a brief symptom focused hypnotherapy or long term depth work on the deep roots of limiting patterns of thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.  With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to build on his/her strengths and to grow into the most full and alive expression of self.

I have been working as a psychotherapist for over 30 years in private practice and in a variety of medical and mental health settings. In addition, I am a wife and mother and have learned a lot, including humility and a sense of humor, from my own family life.
